WEBSITE & NAVIGATION

I'm a car enthusiast so I wanted to dedicate my digital art portfolio with a Subaru car theme. I used the car parts as the link to different pages. As for the title of the page, I wanted it to seem more personal to the person viewing my site so I decided to go with a handwritten type. I tried to keep the type consistent throughout the whole project so it won't confuse the viewers. For the color theme, I chose a darker blue that I eyedropped from the car's shadows and used the gold from the rims to make the whole site fit together as a whole. As the minimalist that I am, I tried to keep it short and clean. Hope you guys like it! Oh! and my sketch is right here as well.

E-CARD design

I decided to take a comical approach to this E-card. I think the point presented is quite obvious. I also integrated recognizable media figure to emphasize the playfulness of this message. As a minimalist, I tried to keep things simple by using minimal amounts of type. As for the images, I did a little collaging and filtered them by posterizing it to create the fine line that is comic book art. Hope you guys like it.

e-card concept sketch

I think that environmental issues should be addressed in a more fun and active way that will capture the audiences' attention just by the glimpse of the card. I decided to go with a more interactive theme this time around and stuck with a "comic strip" theme. The characters would be graphically designed and minimal type. The image should be enough to depict a short scene that clearly addresses the issue of recycling. The "RecycleMan", played off of Superman, goes around fighting people who do not recycle. However, RecycleMan does not fight with his fists, he snatches up plastic from people who tend to toss them on the streets and aims the trash towards a recycling can. He's definitely a new superhero to look up to.
