FINAL FRANK SINATRA BOOK COVER

I finished a bit early but I actually like this very much. The minimalist aspect is very much me because I believe in less is more. The colors depict a more classic musician and this is very close to my original sketch idea. The stars added a bit of an effect for me but generally did not overpower the figure or the type. The bold and black type with white shadow differentiated it from the gold background and creating a more popping feature. By merging the transparent and gold background, it gives dimensions to Sinatra. So instead of him being flat on one surface, he now looks more dimensional where the transparent and gold meets.

SINATRA BOOK COVER

I've always been a fan of Frank Sinatra's music. For this book, I decided to choose him as the main character. For the older 50's theme, I wanted to utilize a minimal amount of color in a classy way. I want to use the colors: gold, black, and white to represent the era that is Frank Sinatra. The title will blend in with his jacket on the background of gold and white. On the spine, there will be gold type on black ground. As for the back of the book cover, I thought that by putting a retro microphone would easily represent Frank Sinatra and what he does for those who aren't familiar with him. On gold background, the white microphone will pop along with Frank's iconic signature splashed across the page as well.
